# Quickstart

1. Choose a plan on the [pricing page](https://twitterscore.io/api/prices) and copy your key from the [API dashboard](https://twitterscore.io/api-dashboard/).
2. Call any endpoint under `https://twitterscore.io/api/v1/` with the key in the `X-API-Key` header.
3. Check `success` in the body: during the compatibility period errors come back with HTTP 200 (see [Errors](/developers/errors/)).

## curl

```bash
curl -s "https://twitterscore.io/api/v1/get_twitter_score?username=VitalikButerin" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $TWITTERSCORE_API_KEY" \
  -H "User-Agent: my-app/1.0 (contact@example.com)"
```

## Python

```python
import os, requests
r = requests.get(
    "https://twitterscore.io/api/v1/get_twitter_score",
    params={"username": "VitalikButerin"},
    headers={"X-API-Key": os.environ["TWITTERSCORE_API_KEY"],
             "User-Agent": "my-app/1.0 (contact@example.com)"},
    timeout=15,
)
data = r.json()
if not data.get("success"):
    raise RuntimeError(data["message"])
print(data["username"], data["twitter_score"])
```

## Node.js

```javascript
const r = await fetch("https://twitterscore.io/api/v1/get_twitter_score?username=VitalikButerin", {
  headers: { "X-API-Key": process.env.TWITTERSCORE_API_KEY,
             "User-Agent": "my-app/1.0 (contact@example.com)" },
});
const data = await r.json();
if (!data.success) throw new Error(data.message);
console.log(data.username, data.twitter_score);
```

## Many accounts at once

Use `bulk_scores_check` with up to 50 usernames or ids per call: `https://twitterscore.io/api/v1/bulk_scores_check?usernames=VitalikButerin,elonmusk&size=50`.

## Set a User-Agent

Send a descriptive `User-Agent` with a contact. Requests carrying the default User-Agent of some HTTP libraries are rejected by our edge protection.
