DraftKings is a sports betting and daily fantasy sports company that has expanded into prediction markets through a current agreement with Crypto.com | Derivatives North America. DraftKings's Twitter Score is 33 out of 1000 as of August 2026, ranking #29,441 (top 10%) among 483,944 tracked accounts.
DraftKings was co-founded by Jason Robins, who serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board, alongside Matthew Kalish and Paul Liberman, who serves as President of Operations and Director. The company began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker DKNG in April 2020 after completing a business combination with Diamond Eagle Acquisition Company and SBTech.
DraftKings entered the crypto space by launching an NFT marketplace in 2021, followed by a strategic blockchain collaboration with Polygon announced in October 2021, under which DraftKings Marketplace used Polygon infrastructure and DraftKings participated in Polygon governance as a validator. DraftKings became a Polygon validator in March 2022. Per CoinDesk, Polygon Labs delegated 60 million MATIC to DraftKings and allowed it to retain all validator rewards, though DraftKings was removed as a validator in October 2023 after failing to maintain adequate performance. DraftKings had also previously been affiliated with Autograph.
DraftKings's NFT marketplace faced legal headwinds when a putative class action filed in March 2023 alleged that NFTs sold and traded through the marketplace were unregistered securities and that the marketplace itself operated as an unregistered securities exchange. These remain allegations and do not constitute established findings of liability. On July 2, 2024, a federal court denied DraftKings's motion to dismiss the case, finding that plaintiffs had plausibly alleged certain NFTs were securities, a ruling addressing pleading sufficiency only. DraftKings subsequently discontinued its Reignmakers product and NFT Marketplace on July 30, 2024.
DraftKings announced an agreement in February 2026 with CFTC-regulated Crypto.com | Derivatives North America to expand the prediction markets available through DraftKings Predictions, covering contracts on cryptocurrencies, financial markets, politics, culture, and entertainment. DraftKings has attracted backing from investors including Accomplice, DST Global, FirstMark Capital, GGV Capital, The Raine Group, Wellington Management, Revolution Growth, Redpoint Ventures, Eldridge Industries, Capital Research and Management Company, and Franklin Templeton. DraftKings has published 158,551 posts and has 405,567 followers as of August 2026 on the platform. DraftKings has been mentioned by 517 accounts a total of 2,422 times.
