About EF Protocol Support's Twitter Score
EF Protocol Support was the protocol-coordination team within the Ethereum Foundation responsible for facilitating Ethereum's core development process, and the team was dissolved on July 9, 2026. EF Protocol Support's Twitter Score is 14 out of 1000 as of October 2026, ranking #71,095 among 498,348 tracked accounts.
EF Protocol Support previously worked at the Ethereum Foundation as a dedicated coordination layer between client teams, researchers, and the broader contributor community. Its responsibilities included managing AllCoreDevs meetings, supporting network-upgrade tracking, facilitating breakout discussions, and helping contributors navigate Ethereum protocol governance. The team also maintained Forkcast, a tool that tracked Ethereum upgrade progress, EIP inclusion status, testnet activations, and mainnet readiness.
EF Protocol Support operated the Ethereum Protocol Fellowship, a cohort-based mentorship program offering hands-on experience in Ethereum core protocol development. During 2022, the team played a coordination role in communicating work around Ethereum's transition to proof-of-stake, as well as subsequent upgrade efforts including Shanghai/Capella and EIP-4844. In December 2022, the team announced a grant round for implementations and unique entropy contributions to the Ethereum KZG Ceremony, whose output was intended to provide a cryptographic foundation for scaling initiatives including EIP-4844.
EF Protocol Support was shut down following an Ethereum Foundation reorganization announced on June 23, 2026, in which the foundation said it was parting ways with roughly 20% of its staff. The foundation had not publicly detailed where each of the team's former responsibilities would be transferred. EF Protocol Support has published 74 posts and has been mentioned by 9 accounts a total of 10 times.
