Chainlink Proof of Reserve was adopted in June 2026 for automated reserve verification. Minting and redemption are restricted to KYC-verified counterparties, including exchanges, market makers and institutional partners. KRWQ.cash is privately issued and is not a central bank digital currency, and at launch was not marketed or offered to Korean residents.
KRWQ.cash joined the Circle Alliance Program and was listed for spot trading on EDX Markets after KRWQ perpetual futures launched on EDXM International, making it the first non-USD stablecoin available across both venues on EDX's integrated trading stack. KRWQ.cash is affiliated with Brainpower Labs as its issuer and is backed by BrainDAO, which committed treasury resources to deepen liquidity as adoption grew. KRWQ.cash and NEXUS signed an MOU to explore KRW-denominated payments and settlement for games and digital content, including potential connections to ONEchain, ONEPay and ONE Store.
