LFG is a Singapore nonprofit incorporated to build reserves defending the TerraUSD peg and to support open-source development within the Terra ecosystem. LFG's Twitter Score is 77 out of 1000 (a Good rating) as of October 2026, ranking #10,461 (top 5%) among 493,668 tracked accounts.
LFG, formally known as Luna Foundation Guard Ltd., was founded by Do Kwon as Founding Member and Director, alongside Nicholas Platias as Founding Member. Incorporated in Singapore in late 2021 and publicly announced in January 2022, its original mandate covered reserve-building for UST, ecosystem grants, research, education, and community growth. Terraform Labs initially funded it with a gift of 50 million LUNA.
LFG raised $1 billion through an over-the-counter LUNA sale in February 2022 to establish a bitcoin-denominated reserve. Jump Crypto and Three Arrows Capital led that transaction, with Republic Capital, GSR, Tribe Capital, and DeFiance Capital participating. When UST began losing its dollar peg in May 2022, LFG deployed 80,081 BTC and 49.8 million in stablecoins in an unsuccessful defense effort. Following the collapse, LFG stated its intention to distribute remaining assets to affected UST holders, but as of October 2022 cited ongoing and threatened litigation as preventing any distribution or timeline.
LFG's legal exposure has grown substantially since the collapse. The SEC alleged in its April 2023 amended complaint that LFG had no employees, was controlled by Do Kwon, and existed primarily as an asset reserve backing UST. In Singapore representative litigation, LFG, along with Terraform Labs and Do Kwon, conceded before trial that specified representations concerning UST had been false and fraudulently made. On June 29, 2026, the Singapore International Commercial Court awarded damages to 40 represented claimants in a second tranche of that action, which involved 275 claimants at that stage. LFG's website remains online but its public-facing pages still carry 2022-era information and do not reflect ongoing foundation operations.
LFG has published 83 posts on the platform and has 120,271 followers as of October 2026. LFG has been mentioned by 162 accounts, with 332 total mentions.
