MAPS.ME is an offline maps and navigation app that expanded into a token-based embedded-finance initiative. MAPS.ME's Twitter Score is 22 out of 1000 as of September 2026, ranking #44,982 (top 10%) among 485,821 tracked accounts.
MAPS.ME was founded by Yury Melnichek, Alexander Borsuk, Viktor Govako, and Siarhei Rachytski. The project introduced the MAPS token, which carries a total allocation of 10,000,000,000 tokens, with 90% described as locked according to its 2021 whitepaper. In November 2022, MAPS.ME disclosed that over 95% of the entire MAPS token supply was held at the then-bankrupt FTX exchange, a development that raised serious questions about the project's financial position.
