However, the funding model for NFT.Storage Limited and the NFT.Storage Membership Community did not prove viable, and both began winding down in 2025. The PL Filecoin Impact Fund has taken over stewardship and preservation responsibilities for the project going forward. NFT.Storage has received backing from the Filecoin Foundation, Magic Eden, Titan Network, and web3mine, and maintains affiliations with Storacha and Lighthouse.
