Prisma Finance is a defunct Ethereum DeFi protocol that enabled users to mint fully collateralized stablecoins against liquid staking and liquid restaking token collateral. Prisma Finance's Twitter Score is 85 out of 1000 (a Good rating) as of August 2026, ranking #9,054 (top 5%) among 483,944 tracked accounts.
Prisma Finance allowed users to mint mkUSD, a stablecoin backed by Ethereum liquid staking token collateral, and later expanded with PrismaLRT and ULTRA, a stablecoin collateralized by liquid restaking tokens. The protocol's governance token, PRISMA, launched on November 2, 2023 with a stated maximum supply of 300 million tokens; locking PRISMA produced vePRISMA voting power used for emissions, fees, collateral listings, and other DAO decisions. Convex Finance integrated this vote-escrow system through cvxPRISMA, allowing deposited PRISMA to be permanently locked as vePRISMA with users receiving cvxPRISMA at a 1:1 rate. Prisma Finance also acquired CRV from Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov in an OTC deal, proposing to permanently lock the position to vote for PRISMA and mkUSD Curve pools.
Prisma Finance suffered a critical exploit on March 28, 2024, when its MigrateTroveZap contracts were attacked through insufficient input validation, resulting in a documented loss of 3,479.24 ETH, approximately $12 million at the time. The vulnerability allowed affected troves to be reopened with the same debt but reduced collateral, and a primary exploiter was followed by copycat attackers before the protocol's emergency multisig paused operations. Following the incident, Prisma governance approved PIP-46, confirming the shutdown of the protocol and its transition to Resupply Finance. The shutdown set all trove-manager debt ceilings to zero, ended mkUSD distributions to lockers, and scheduled new PRISMA emissions to cease on January 2, 2025. Under the transition plan, fee-receiver assets moved to the Resupply treasury, governance ownership transferred to Resupply governance, and PRISMA held in transferred assets was burned; eligible PRISMA from broken vePRISMA locks could be converted into vested RSUP allocations.
Prisma Finance had previously been backed by C2tP, Tetranode, Frax Finance, and OKX Ventures, and was formerly affiliated with Curve Finance, Convex Finance, and Resupply Finance. Prisma Finance has accumulated 22,992 followers as of August 2026 and published 880 posts. The account has been mentioned by 122 accounts a total of 240 times.
