Zeta Markets was a decentralized perpetual-futures and options exchange built on Solana, co-founded by Tristan Frizza, that shut down in May 2025 after facilitating over $15 billion in cumulative trading volume. By May 2024, the platform had processed more than 6 million trades and $6 billion in volume across more than 100,000 wallets, and its final whitepaper reported over $15 billion in total trading volume and more than 40,000 monthly active users at its peak.
Zeta Markets raised a total of $13.5 million across two funding rounds. An $8.5 million strategic round led by Jump Capital was announced in December 2021, followed by a $5 million round led by Electric Capital in May 2024. Additional backers had included Race Capital, Airtree Ventures, Amber Group, Wintermute, Alameda Research, Genesis Block Ventures, QCP Capital, MGNR, Orthogonal Trading, LedgerPrime, SkyVision Capital, Selini Capital, Solana Ventures, Digital Asset Capital Management, Sino Global Capital, and 3kVC.
Zeta Markets's protocol token, ZEX, had a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The Zeta Protocol was discontinued and ZEX ceased to be maintained as of May 2025, with the platform fully wound down. Holders of circulating ZEX supply are eligible for a 1:1 migration into the token of Bullet, the network with which Zeta Markets is now affiliated.
