On the regulatory licensing front, Bitfinex Securities was granted a license by El Salvador's National Digital Asset Commission in April 2023, and Bitfinex Derivatives received a license from the same body in January 2025. Bitfinex is also affiliated with Thalex Digital Trading Platform Ltd.
