e-Money is a defunct Cosmos-based electronic-payment and stablecoin project that has ceased active development and maintenance. e-Money's Twitter Score is 1.0 out of 1000 as of August 2026, ranking #484,292 among 485,188 tracked accounts.
e-Money was co-founded by Martin Dyring-Andersen and Henrik Aasted Sørensen, with the project getting its start in 2017. Its core offering centered on transparent, interest-bearing, currency-backed stablecoins and low-cost cross-chain payments built on the Cosmos network. The project issued EEUR, a euro-backed stablecoin, and NGM, a staking and transaction-fee token that allowed holders to earn NGM inflation rewards and transaction-fee distributions. NGM launched for trading on January 20, 2021.
e-Money announced on January 9, 2023 that it would stop issuing EEUR, citing bear-market conditions and difficulties integrating with traditional finance infrastructure. EEUR redemptions were supported through March 6, 2023. At the time of the unwind, the project indicated its blockchain would remain operational and its codebase would be made available to the community for continued use. The project has since confirmed it is no longer being developed or maintained.
e-Money received backing from TRGC Ventures, Moonrock Capital, Fenbushi Capital, DeltaHub Capital, Gains Associates, Hillrise Ventures, and ExNetwork Capital. The account has accumulated 2 posts and has been mentioned by 124 accounts a total of 319 times.
