Alby Hub supports multiple Lightning implementations and uses LDK by default. It can be self-hosted on desktop, server or Raspberry Pi, or run through a hosted Alby Cloud option. In January 2026, Alby Hub replaced the project's earlier shared wallet. Alby also maintains Bitcoin Connect and JavaScript tooling for building Lightning-enabled web applications, as well as a WordPress plugin supporting Lightning paywalls, donations and value-for-value payments. More than 100 contributors have participated in building these tools, and the project remains active, with the browser extension publishing release v3.14.2 in March 2026.
