The same paper reported that its PII pipeline found agents had posted API keys, passwords, and BIP39 seed phrases on the publicly indexed platform.
Moltbook has also drawn security scrutiny. Business Insider reported that cybersecurity researchers found misconfigured infrastructure on the platform; per Wiz, a misconfigured database exposed 35,000 email addresses and private messages between agents, and was secured within hours of disclosure. Moltbook has 238,591 followers as of August 2026 and has published 134 posts. Moltbook has been mentioned by 614 accounts, with 920 total mentions.
