In December 2022, MoonPay and Yuga Labs were named in a class-action lawsuit alleging undisclosed celebrity promotion inflated the value of Yuga Labs digital assets; MoonPay stated that celebrity clients were charged in full for NFTs and service fees. The lawsuit was reported as dismissed in September 2025.
