Songcamp is a Web3 music collective and creative studio that brought together musicians, visual artists, engineers and storytellers to experiment with onchain technology for creating and releasing music, running from 2020 to 2025. Songcamp's Twitter Score is 59 out of 1000 (a Good rating) as of October 2026, ranking #14,881 (top 5%) among 498,181 tracked accounts.
Songcamp was founded by Matthew Chaim and organized its work around a series of experiments called Camps, each one assembling a cross-disciplinary group of contributors to produce music released as onchain collections. One of its most prominent projects, Chaos, operated as a headless band built from 80 artists who wrote 45 distinct songs over six weeks, ultimately combining them into a collection of 21,000 music NFTs. Songcamp also worked with Zora Network and was formerly affiliated with Catalog.
Songcamp reported that by mid-2023, 108 artists had participated across three virtual songwriting-camp-hackathons since 2021, with those first three camps generating over 500 ETH in NFT sales split instantaneously among more than 100 participating artists. Its C4 project released five songs on streaming platforms alongside a custom mint experience in which listeners minted blank CD tokens and chose which of the five songs to write to their disc. That mint closed after seven days with 2,372 CDs minted and more than 17 ETH in revenues distributed onchain to participating artists. Songcamp has published 3,518 posts and has been mentioned by 97 accounts a total of 269 times.
