The standard supports instant redemption of SpringSui LSTs into their underlying SUI in a single transaction and enforces a minimum redemption fee of 1 basis point. sSUI represents staked SUI, remains transferable and usable across Sui DeFi, and accrues staking yield through appreciation in its SUI exchange value rather than through continuous token distributions.
SpringSui ships an open-source TypeScript frontend, SDK and CLI alongside Move smart contracts. Those contracts were audited by OtterSec on October 25, 2024 and by Zellic on November 14, 2024. SpringSui also forms part of the broader SEND suite, introduced in December 2024, which encompasses Suilend, SpringSui and STEAMM.
