DLive is a defunct blockchain-based live-streaming platform that ceased operations in April 2026 after nearly a decade of activity across esports, lifestyle, crypto, and news content. DLive's Twitter Score is 27 out of 1000 as of July 2026, ranking #40,708 (top 10%) among 531,432 tracked accounts.
DLive was founded in December 2017 by Charles Wayn and Cole Chen, initially building on the Steem blockchain before announcing a migration to the Lino Network in September 2018. On December 30, 2019, DLive joined the BitTorrent ecosystem and began migrating to the TRON blockchain, with plans to use the BitTorrent File System for distributed content storage. BitTorrent formally acquired DLive in 2020 and positioned it within the BitTorrent X ecosystem, though both affiliations are now former given the platform's shutdown.
DLive issued a platform credit called Lemon, built on Lino, which users could spend on donations and subscriptions but could not transfer freely inside or outside the platform. During the blockchain transition away from Lino, eligible non-US users were offered a program to exchange LINO tokens for BitTorrent BTT through an arrangement involving the BTT Foundation and Poloniex. Following the January 6, 2021 US Capitol attack, DLive suspended multiple accounts, forced channels offline, issued livestreaming bans, and permanently removed more than 100 past broadcasts while investigating streamers who had participated. In February 2021, members of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence sent DLive and its then-parent BitTorrent a letter requesting information about extremist content and the oversight of blockchain-based donations on the platform. When DLive announced it was ceasing operations, users were directed to the web version to withdraw remaining Coins and download stored content ahead of final shutdown.
